CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF THE LAUGHING COW IN THE JURA

When you mention The Laughing Cow®, your face lights up. It is to collect the anecdotes, the feelings, the pleasure that this brand conveys, everywhere in the world. It’s unique, and it’s a great opportunity to cultivate and grow a positive brand that has become part of the daily lives of families, here in France for a century, and in more than 120 countries. To commemorate its anniversary in the Jura, the Bel Group has decided to offer several convivial days, in Lons-le-Saunier at the Parc des bains on September 11 and 12 and in Dole on September 18.

For its 100th anniversary, The Laughing Cow had to offer a special commemorative event. The Kolektif Alambik, specialized in monumental projection, will completely metamorphose the facade of the thermal baths of Lons to put it in the colors of The Laughing Cow. This is an evening that will not go unnoticed and that already promises to be memorable, as the 5 tableaux of this visual show will resculpt the place thanks to the light. During 15 minutes, the public will discover a kind of visual itinerary showing the world of The Laughing Cow in its most sensitive, technical, innovative, funny and global aspects, where mapping, archive images and videos will mix to take the spectators into the incredible saga of the brand.

The concept of Kolektif Alambik is the “Distillery of Images”. The “Distillery of Images” consists in sculpting light from visual creations. Created in 2000, the company has illuminated buildings all over France (Mont Saint Michel, Château de Vincennes, Dunkerque, Marseille, Valence…) but also abroad (Sharjah).

To enable you to attend the three free performances in Lons-le-Saunier on September 21 and in Dole on September 18, we ask you to book online. This ticket will be required at the entrance of the show with your sanitary pass and mandatory mask. We ask that you arrive at the box office at least 30 minutes before each session.

ECOLOGICAL AMUSEMENT PARK FROM 2PM TO 6PM

We invite the population to celebrate the 100 years of The Laughing Cow in an atmosphere worthy of a real fair. It will take place for two days in the Parc des Bains with the aim of promoting the themes of ecology and sharing so dear to the Bel Group.

THE GARDEN SHED / THE TOUPINE THEATER

Ecological carousel-theater with parental propulsion A realization in wood, leather, metal and driftwood. A square merry-go-round that goes round… Ten children embark on an imaginary garden and let themselves be carried along by their crazy encounters: pumpkin, water lily, etc… The time of a turn, the public is carried by the small musical scenes of an actress-musician.

BICYCLE GARGOT / GUIXOT OF 8

It is the smallest amusement park in the world, a real living museum; an interactive exhibition where you can play, touch, experiment with logic and agility… alone, with family or friends. Garcot de Joc offers a journey into the imagination of a creator who has dedicated his life to these strange and playful sculptures. Here, playing with revisited bicycles, we think about how to succeed in the balance test. We share and it’s joyful!

COOPERATIVE GAMES

Cooperative games made by Bête à bois with 50 games for 140 people in a 210 m2 space. This installation of games will be enhanced by a basketry workshop by La zarzoteuse (Nathalie POINT) and a production of woven flowers. The association Bol d’air (aurélie peyrard) will propose a production of modeling with clay. We are used to working together, the link between the three animations being made around a giant kitchen for which we bring back flowers and plants.

ELIOBIL JURA

Ecological Ferris wheel for all public. Carousel ” Made in Jura “. This Ferris wheel successfully raises awareness among all generations about the accessibility and performance of this free energy, which deserves to be more developed. In addition to its entertainment potential, it has distinguished itself from other more traditional rides due to the positive impact on a large audience, as this new animation of the “Solar Wheel” proves to be an educational tool that physically involves young and old in a new experience of eco-responsibility.

AJENA

The AJENA association proposes several activities to raise awareness of eco-responsibility. Visitors will be able to experiment with a solar oven, discover a photovoltaic solar kit and different measuring devices to measure its consumption. Children will be able to use bio-based insulation on small architectures.

THE SYDOM OF JURA

The sydom proposes several animations to sensitize with the sorting of our waste and to evaluate the time of degradation of waste in nature. A sorting experience not to be missed.

LEDONOVA FAB’LAB OF LONS

For two days, the Fab’Lab team will offer children the opportunity to color and make a badge in the colors of The Laughing Cow®. A 3D printer will introduce the public to the creation of various objects with a 3D printer.

I LIKE MY BOTTLES

The fair is associated with the J’aime Mes Bouteilles packaging recycling network in Burgundy Franche-Comté. As part of the Festival of Ecological Solutions organized by the Region, everything you always wanted to know about the local reuse channel J’aime Mes Bouteilles! How can I participate in the local industry as a consumer? Which products should I choose to participate in reuse? Which bottles can I bring back? How does it work in practice? What are the social and environmental benefits?

The J’aime Mes Bouteilles team will explain it all to you on Saturday, September 11, at the Biocoop En Vie Bio, in Lons-le-Saunier. A good way to make the link between the two sites.

TRACK GAME

For its 100th anniversary, The Laughing Cow launches a challenge: an original treasure hunt!

Numerous riddles, charades and games for the whole family to enjoy and laugh at while discovering the extraordinary history of this iconic brand. A souvenir of this unforgettable party will reward each participant who has managed to collect all the clues.

Accessible from 3 years old for children accompanied by adults, and without age limit!

SNACK WITH THE LAUGHING COW 4PM

Let’s share a giant snack! How can we thank the people of the Jura who have been so loyal and proud of their brand The Laughing Cow® for 100 years? How can we celebrate the many families who have contributed during this decade to making portions, developing industrial engineering, investing and innovating in their various trades and for some having the happiness of passing this know-how from generation to generation. The whole team of the Lons factory associated with La Maison de La Vache qui rit had the idea to invite the people of Lons to share a giant snack with the colors of the brand in the Parc des bains in Lons-le-Saunier. We all have a common memory, the snacks at The Laughing Cow®, the big thick toasts with a nice portion on the bread. Antoine Fiévet, CEO of the Bel group, and his employees wished to share a moment of conviviality and exchange which shows how much The Laughing Cow® is part of the daily life of the people of Lédon.
