the CURIOUS COLLECTION

“We decided on this title because we felt it perfectly suited the tone of the exhibition. It’s a curious cow, a curious collection that encourages visitors to be curious.”
Eléa Beaussart, exhibition co-curator

Did you know? The House of The Laughing Cow houses a collection of over 49,000 objects! Astonishing? Not really, since Léon Bel, creator of The Laughing Cow, was a pioneer in the creation of derivative objects as early as 1926, when he set up an advertising office in Lons-le-Saunier.
This year, for the fifteenth anniversary of La Maison de La Vache qui rit, the greatest treasures of the collections will be presented in a temporary exhibition.
From room to room, this exhibition invites visitors to step back in time and rediscover a selection of objects bearing the effigy of our favorite cow.

“We’ve never exhibited so many objects from the collections in 15 years.”
Anne-Cécile Nicollet, exhibition curator and head of collections and history at The Laughing Cow.
